Flowers we don't like?
vinegar..  Although I assume not all together I love cutting my own flowers for the house - just a few of everything as they come into season - specially sweet peas from the veg patch. Not keen on lilies though - the smell is too strong and a bit sickly. I by artjak

Why did you all start gardening?
before this one was therapeutic, but I hated the garden, northfacing, small full of over mature shrubs. I started cutting everything down. One day my eldest son came home from uni  - I guess about 12years ago - and suggested that instead of destroying by Busy-Lizzie

Health and safety!!
Golden Rod, lovely for cut flowers. I can't seem to grow it in my garden, the slugs get it before it has a chance to grow to any size. They'll be digging the grass up next, isn't grass pollen a big problem? I am sure we never used to have so many allergy by Rosa carriola

Talkback: Tomato blight
happened to the beautiful crop of tomatoes my wife planted in our vegetable patch. Blight! My wife is Thai and usually is successful with most vegetables planted. Not this time! Thanks for the comments and web site. We will certainly be more careful next by jogriff
