Daffodils
My late mother used to tie the daffodil stems at the end of Spring. I now have control of the garden and want to replicate her wonderful work. 1). Why tie the daffodil stems?   2). How to tie the daffodil stems? Any articles you can point me too by Desire For Gardening

Can daffodils drown?
Last September I bought native daffodil bulbs and got my carer to plant them in the "lawn". The soil is heavy clay (London). We put a few in a big pot of planting soil bought from a gardening shop. All are the same. A few leaves by Erica68

Daffodils
Any idea how a daffodil has managed to pop up in the middle of the lawn. It has a flower bud on it. Lived here about 7 years and don't recall seeing anything there before. Puzzled...... They take quite a while from seed, maybe you missed the young by Judith 5
