Talkback: Suppressing weeds with carpet
son's climbing frame. This has not disintegrated or torn, and I will be using it in the school garden with the carpet. It certainly worked 100% as I originally laid it directly on top of lawn, grass & dandelions to boot. Nothing came through by John- Stockport

fifteen year old oak in the garden has horrible growths on the acorns, not seen before, bright green a frilly.A sewer runs under the garden, any connection as it overflows often? Also no dandelions where there were millions!! should I worry, because by Carole

Raised asparagus bed
as a mulch killing alot of the seeds etc of the original plot which was a lawn.  I only seem to get a bit of chickweed and the odd dandelion seedling and these are easy to pull if I get them when they're young. My biggest concern is how deeply can I get by gerrya

840 m squared of all types of weeds.
that the ground work has been done the surface is level and the top layer turned over and compressed by the excavators tracks.  The weeds prior to this consisted of Horsetail, Brambles, Dandelions, Stinging nettles, grass gone wild and to finish a few Blue Bells by George Aurther

Mossy lawns
to reduce the moss problem by scarifying the area then airating and sifting in sharp sand. This will help reduce the thatch and better aid drainage. You can also take out large lawn weeds with a trowel ie dandelion & plantain. Both of these again may mean by mummy greenfingers

for thw winter and put them in soups and stews you will then get addad flavour - it is delicious. Will try dandelion, as they seem to just pop up everywhere. What about clover,white/mauve? seem to remember as a child eating mauve coloured flowers. I have by Birgit

't and the majority of dandelion seedheads just blow in from these verges. It then takes me hours to dig them all up, both from the lawn and flower beds, meaning that I inevitably also dig some of my own planting as I believe in soil coverage to keep annual weeds by Elizabeth Bellis-Sheldon

petrol when lawnmower is tipped/? When I have mowed my lawns, I look carefully for any signs of weeks and spray with a lawn weed killer spray. Despite my neighbours having lots of dandelions etc., my lawns are pretty clear of weeds - except by kaycurtis

't cut the grass for some time now so it is covered with wild flowers,The goldfinches have been having the time of there live's eating the dandelion seed,there must be a lot of other wild life living in there as it has attracted a lot of bird activity by oldchippy

Unidentified growing object!
of running everywhere. The leaves are much bigger than an eupatorium, the biggest being about 6"x9". Before flowering it really does look like a common weed of which I forget the name (it flowers like a dandelion) but later becomes more exotic. I suspect by le jardin anglais
