plants in flower for a December wedding?
can grow?-that flower in December? Very difficult if doing it yourself. White hyacinths and Paperwhite daffodils can flower in December. Probably best to ask a florist what they can provide. They will have access to flowers grown under glass. There by Jean Ewing

I have to go up to my spinney and cut cornus sticks which are now bright red to stick into my spreads of white heather at the front gate which are just opening their flowers. It is one of my favourite December jobs. I saw a similar thing in a by happymarion

Happy Christmas Kate,All the holly up the golf course has had the berries taken by the birds at the beginning of December so there's not much left ,the ivy has also gone over with not much to look at at all,may be next year will be more productive by oldchippy

Fritillaria meleagris how long can it survive under water
I know these fritillaries thrive in water meadows but the bulk of mine have been under water since December. Will they cope? I was wondering that today as I paddled where they are, and this is their first year as well by nutcutlet

GW Calendar
I have received my Gardeners World magazine for December this morning along with the free 2013 calendar which has shrunk in size. Don't get me wrong, it is still a nice calendar but seems so small compared to other years, I was quite surprised when by donutsmrs

Raspberries
I purchased 10 new Malliing Jewel raspberry canes from Hilliers, Bath in December.  The instructions said to plant as soon as possible after purchase.  This I did after Christmas when the weather was better.  I know everything is late this year by Lost the Plot
