Does anyone know what varieties these are please? All I know is that one is a rose (Last I remember I saw a white flower on it which were few and far between) And the other is a deciduous Honeysuckle which had small double white flowers in spring by Mattbeer87

Suggestions please

obtain one in the US - any suggestions? Thanks! There are some semi evergreen oaks too that will tolerate our climate. Really if you have to create a screen and need a tree to grow quickly with deciduous trees then some of our hedging conifers will do by hereisabee

Trees suitable for a private road
year but worried by them. We would like deciduous trees which will not grow too big and will be light on maintenance plus reliability pest/disease/branch drop wise. many thanks H If you have acid or neutral soil you could try liquidambar which has by Helen Andrew

what is this tree?

idea. Eucalyptus shrubs/trees tend to be evergreen so if your tree is deciduous this response from me can be ignored !!! Also, after time, some varieties shed their bark which is an attractive feature, in my view, as it makes it more interesting by Gardening Grandma

Suggestions please
soil, and flowered right from January to the end of April (one is just about still going). If the trees are deciduous snowdrops and autumn crocus should be ok. I also understand that lungwort (pulmonaria) tolerates both shade and clay but have never by Jo Stephenson

pansies primrose primulas etc....
find most type of primroses grow well under decidues trees / summer flowering shrubs  ( exept the ones which need lots of water, I cannot grow Bullimia type - please exuse spellings), when  the primroses have  finished flowering  they die down by mike2li

in the summer? Not a good idea. Thirsty evergreens like leylandii will cast a lot of shade which will not do your lawn any good at all, and deciduous trees will not draw up any moisture when you most need it in winter, and will result in a lot of moss, followed by fazzini
