Deciduous
What does this mean when they say the plant is Deciduous? It means that the plant loses it's leaves in winter. If they keep the leaves they are evergreens.    Kathy is right of course. Trees/plants are either decidous or coniferous. As Kathy says by Cia

Leaf mould vs Chalara ash dieback
Last year we composted the leaves from the mixed deciduous trees in and around our garden and planned to do the same this year.  However, there are ash trees within our collection area, they do not seem to have any of the signs of Chalara ash by Spider5

Please could someone tell me the name of this small tree? It is deciduous with small white flowers in the summer. Then in autumn it produces these stunning blue berries nestling in purple calyxes. Thank you. It could be a Clerodendron Pam LL x http by jatnikapyar

Talkback: Earth, wind and fire
I loved the way you brought these topics together in a piece (not sure about the nudists)& remember the great fires of Yellow Stone some years ago. I visited the park some 2-3 years later & the transformation was incredible. New tree growth by The Garden Monkey

Hi all, youve probably had this question a million and one times but could you reccomend a suitable hedging plant that will survive under deciduous trees? Prefferably it would be evergreen, doesnt have to flower but i could cope with that lol. I by M Fent

Climbing Ivy
and keep it under control. Ivy is a problem if it takes over the tree and shuts out the light from the tree's leaves, or when it makes a deciduous tree far heavier and stop more wind in the winter, can blow over in extreme cases. But if you keep by Fish2

Vigorous climber needed
... The only climbers that are really vigorous enough to cover a medium to large tree tend to be deciduous themselves and so won't really do what you want them to do. You could try something like a clematis 'Montana', which will happily climb up through by Brilith
