derris dust

Plum sawfly
Anyone know the substitute for Derris. I have plum sawfly and cant find out an alternative insecticide. by galest

and it seems its the plum sawfly - am I right? If so the solution seems to be Derris but that is no longer available so what wld be the alternative? Ive also gone thro the soil at the base and cant find any of the grubs mentioned. Would it be any good putting a by galest

will help prevent attack; spray with derris, malathion or systemic insecticide as soon as the first signs are seen" Hope that helps a little I think that Provado Ultimate Bug Killer should get it. Derris is no longer available; I'm not sure about malathion by john cairns

,I had used liquid derris in previous year which gave nearly 100% effective. Marshalls advised the use of the contact inscticide Py. During July most of my early blackberries were devoured by flying insects - flies, wasps, hovers,et al. Re: raspberry by Mary

slugs and snails
in my garden have tried sprays derris dust going out in the dark but i have hundreds of them . Earwigs like damp conditions. You could try a moat of dry material to keep them off your plants. Not 100% as they can fly. Try rolling up newspaper and wet by rosie plum
