Aspidistra Elatior
Could someone advise what is the best time of year to divide an Aspidistra elatior. The one I have hasn't been repotted for about 6 years, it has about 20 leaves and I would like to divide it into 3 plants. - Thank you It's usually best done by NigelHewitt1

Kaffir Lily
I am the proud owner of a beautiful but rather big kaffir lily, which I have had since it was a 'baby'.  It now needs dividing and I am a bit nervous to do this.  Should I basically just take a spade to it and divide it that way or is there a better by Carol Mc

Iris Katharine Hodgkin
The RHS advice is to divide these in early autumn, but by then the leaves have long gone and I am never sure where they are. Can I lift them earlier, like at the end of May, when I can still locate them, and dry / store the bulbs like I would by Gold1locks

Rampant Amaryllis
15 years ago my dear Mother in Law gave me an Amaryllis bulb for Christmas. I have kept it in growth all this time and get flowers every year. I divided the bulb several years ago and now have two pots full of both large and small bulbs. I wonder by Gwyn

the Spring? Also, is it likely I will be able to divide it and get extra plants?     No, don't try to "divide" it. I would plant it now. ( I assume it was in a pot outside and not grown indoors). Prune in spring. Keep old flower heads....these help protect by break23
