not be allowed to dry out: germination will take place in the autumn or following spring. Alternatively, plants can be divided, removing an excess of woody rhizome, and shortening long leaves by half: plant as for mature plants, detailed above. by essexcowboy62

Lamium and Ajuga propagation
I grew  Lamium and  Ajuga in pots last year and I would like to propagate them. All the books seem to say that if they grow in the ground they produce their own offsets and therefore they should be divided. As they are in containers can I take by kate1123

Sedum Collapse
they grew fast and flopped.but they are better staked. Time to split the plant? Good advice already given but I would divide the plant in spring as well. Take a spade to it and chop it in four - disgarding the inner section of each quarter - then replant by Phytographer

Moving a Curry plant
I would like to divide and move a large curry plant. Is this a good time to do it If it is the plant I am thinking of it is  a shrub- you cannot divide a shrub. You can take cuttings- they root like lavender fairly easily-and if you move it now by nanna26

Irises
successfully. The advice I would give is to divide them in late spring, dont plant them too deeply as they like heat about there feet Wait until they've finished flowering, then dig them up. Discard the oldest pieces and then plant where you want them, making by Furballs Cattery

Iris bulbs
I have dug up and divided a huge clump of iris bulbs which didn't flower this year.  I plan to replant them, but what do I do with the bulblets?  Will they develop into full sized bulbs?  If so, do I leave them attached to the 'parent' or separate by smallswan
