japanese anemones
do these need to be divided as mine have not produced the same number of flowers and used to be big and it is not  I don't really know, having never kept them, but I use just looked online and I dont think so, but dig one up just to check whether by Rosemarie Curtis

How and when to move a large Bamboo
and very difficult to move.This is an excellent opportunity to divide the plant. Large bamboos are not cheap to buy, so you can save yourself a lot of money by dividing large bamboos. I use a saw - the type you would use to cut up logs. A breadknife would by Debs4

Day lily not flowering
many hours of sunshine your parents' plants get and then compare to yours there could be the answer.  I believe that crocosmia and spirea will do well almost anywhere. Finally - and sorry to bang on so long - it may be that the clump needs to be divided by SiwanS

out of the ground so I mulch them, after two or three years divide them putting them deeper into the ground.They can suffer from leafy gall. Frank. Thank you, for all you advice folks. I really appreciate it.  IME they do cope quite well with dryer by chainsawsal

pansies primrose primulas etc....
can lift the primroses and primula and put them somewhere shady to start again in rthe autumn. Once they finish flowering it is also a good time to divide them.  Hi Mike they are all hardy so will be quite happy in pots in a quiet corner of the garden by mike2li

Square foot gardening
for an area of our garden. Mel bartholomew's book on the subject is a very good read. In a 4 foot by 3 foot section divided into 12 blocks we have mixed fruit (strawberries) with veg (lettuce, radish, beetroot, cabbage) and herbs (rosemary, lavender) alongside by Jess.dines

Plants for complete shaded areas
also Aconites grow well if you want to plant bulbs and cyclmn grow quite well also shrub wise Aucuba japonica Rozannie ( nice berries in autumn) and dark glossy leaves. . Brunnera is superb in dry shade Cant kill it Also Dicentra formosa .blue divided by chippysteve1

Bulbs in pots
. After that you can separate them and propagate them by dividing them and repotting into new pots. You can leave some in the original pot/arrangement, but they need space to stay healthy and flower well.  Thanks for that, I seem to remember someone saying by H

Chelsea Chop
 a neat and compact shrub and I'll be chopping all the geraniums that I divided earlier. I chop my cranesbills, but will be doing it much later than usual because of the weather, as they are only just coming into flower. Interesting that Botticelliwoman by Wintersong
