. Within a year I've had frogs and toads in the pond along with many invertebrates such as pond skaters and water boatmen. I also had a dragonfly visit recently. The soil type can be immaterial as you can line throughout and place different soil on top by mdw84

they will pupate from now until May, when it turns into a very pretty moth. I imagine that the recent cyclonic weather has an effect on local wildlife. Butterflies and dragonflies will avoid flight while we have gusty wind and showers. Who can blame them by Margaret

coming through the garden. I've also had giant dragonflys in the garden last summer. There is an abundant of wildife in and around the garden and I do my best to encourage them. The only things that really do my make me mad are slugs!! now they are a by joseph woosey

there are lots of things living there. Rats & mice are not to be encouraged close to human habitation - they belong out in the fields & I am with DragonflyBlue - curtains if they cross the threshhold.   Both rodents are highly destructive if permitted to venture by Milo de Paor

it easier to dig. Wildlife will find its own way fast enough, often water skaters, dragonflies, damsels arriving as the water is going in. There are often worries about introducing spawn from other ponds because they may be carrying disease, but I suspect by Daily Digger
