Hedge for a poorly drained shade
At the bottom of our garden we have a very ugly north-facing wall. The area is very shady and poorly drained. We have tried to put some hedging laurus, but they miserbly died. What can we do? How the drainage can imporved? I have browsed the RHS by Elena71

HI, i have a stream on the edge of my allotment which has a land drain running into it It has eroded over the years and my other half has just repaired the drain.we were left with a large hole which has now been filled with soil, any ideas what by Aliesh

Which fruit trees for northern lincolnshire

No flowers on my Kniphofia rooperi
Probably the poor weather. The plants like a rich soil, and nutrients will have been washed away by the incessant rain, so they may have been hungry. Also, they like the ground well drained - some hope this year! by Ron Moffatt
