Eradicating ivy

on the dramatic side and the leaves are beautiful The ones in hanging baskets rely on you feeding them as the food in the compost quickly runs out-in a bed they are not so confined and the roots search out food and water There are also  named varieties that hold by Lupinmac

Pieris in shade
Hello, I picked up a young Peiris, forest flame, in wilkinsons the other week, just because it looked so nice, with it's white flowers and green and red foliage. I had I thought I might plant it in one of the northernmost corners of my garden, which by PaperFlowers

I also planted Morning Glory ( heavenly blue) on an east facing wall in june and have had an array of flowers each morning, which died off by early afternoon. But i now have also got the same problem of tatty, naked foliage, yellow, withering leaves by Anonymous

Talkback: Growing veg in shade
looking too - more dramatic foliage. They are architectural, growing so tall, and left to stand over the winter, the flower heads look spectacular when covered with frost. Edible, ornamental, add height to your border.... what more could you ask for by Pink Heather

wetting the foliage when irrigating (ie no sprinklers!!) Re foxgloves, white foxgloves are the ones which are regarded as difficult to maintain in that they cross-pollinate with pink ones and so the next generation is not a pure white ! could you tell me by Terry R

Do these grow through plants?
-masse. Geranium Rozanne is one of the annual growth and die back ones, lovely, weaves through other plants, pratense is taller and stiff but inclined to fall over for me. Splish splash is a pratense. versicolor is quietly nice not dramatic front of the border by Adam Young

, they are just totally dramatic and fantastic value. Really long lasting, great as cut flower. Easy to germinate and come in some amazing varieties. The sexiest of which is Red Spider or even fireworks mixed.I sowed mine a week ago and they are already standing by Antonia

plants! I'd watch. P.S Can anyone give me tips on how to up load pictures? I get told the file is too large. Try opening the file and then saving it as a jpeg or gif file. That often reduces the file size dramatically without noticeably affecting quality by sotongeoff
