, you should be able to cut it when you can no longer take hold of the edge of a piece of turf and lift it. Once it has begun to take root, you shouldn't have any problems. Let the grass dry out, and keep the mower on a high setting for the first few by juststartingout

Wood LIce
they are destructive, but I've watched them munching the slug looking raspy tears on the edge of the plants. . .What can I do, Has anyone else had this problem.?? Monkey peas?-never heard that one before Wood lice tend to feast on decaying stuff -a bit like hyenas by Norma Snockers

Flowering Cherry
I have a very old flowering cherry tree in my garden and this year, the most of leaves have brown spots, the larger ones along the edges, where the leaf looks dead. They look as if they'd been sprayed with something. They eventually shrivel up by GlennandEi

Carrots
I planted some carrots in a planter down the side of my house. Ive raised the planter off the ground slightly using an off cut of wooden edging roll, to allow drainage, but im really worried about them with all this rain. Ive just asked my husband by frustrated_gardener

Help needed with fruit trees
no blossom, the leaves have dark red stems and the edges of the 4cm long leaves are jagged.  Hope someone can identify these and also answer why they are not fruiting. Thanks Katiebee, we'll need a bit more information - can you post some photographs on here by katiebee15

Holes in Rose Leaves
I have two climbing roses Malvern Hills, but only one has developed varying size holes in nearly all of the leaves.  These are contained within the leaf, i.e. with the edge of the leaf intact.  There appears to be no sign of the culprit in spite by lorrainespooner

the leaves. The leaves open then latter in the year about July time they are all nibbled.. No sign of caerpillars etc .Any ideas please. If the edges are nibbled it could be Vine Weevil, any chance of a photo. I suggest slugs may be the problem. I seem by DENISE MAJER

wild life in portishead
in winter the black headed gulls collect,they were here today with a cormorant at the edge trying to dry his wings.Also lots of coots,moorhens,swans and ducks in including one very handsome one .There is also a walk on Battery point that takes you along a by flowering rose
