pyracantha, honeysuckle or other
spot  I would go for climbers so as not to take up too much space in the bed. Have a look at Clematis and Honeysuckle on Google, some are evergreen, some are fine with shade. I use pyracantha like this and keep it trimmed to about 4 inches thick easily by Bill Mansfield

ideas for a container on a SW facing wall
ericaceous compost? I would go for lavender and an  annual climbers  morning glory? Or an evergreen clematis-freckles? I'm looking for inspiration so open to all ideas, wanted something quite showy and I detest the smell of lavender (I know, I'm weird) hehe by debanslow

I have a new pergola and one of the climbers I would like is a hoya to provide both scent and year round foliage - in view of severity of the last couple of winters, is this a good idea? Your suggestions for alternative evergreen climbers would by pinkpeony

short climbers???
anything that fruits preferably otherwise something that looks pretty and doesn't want cutting several times a year.  Thanks very much. Most climbers grow very tall but Jasmine Trachelospermum, the star Jasmine might suit. It's evergreen and once planted by cloud8
