Climber for a pot?
Can someone please recommend a climber for a big half barrel pot please?  It will be in the Sun all day.  If possible one that is evergreen but that has flowers  I think I might be asking for too much ...the plant you want is Trachelospermum by greathat

Good plants for headges
to attach a strip of trellis along the top of the fence to add instant height.   You can then stretch horizontal wires at 12"/30cms intervals along the fence and plant climbers such as roses, honeysuckle and/or clematis or wall shrubs such as pyracantha by Carr

Planting Ideas
have lost my birdlife even though I have bird feeders everywhere and a dovecote given protection by the tree, obviously my feathered friends do not appreciate the openness. I am struggling to find a solution with upright evergreen bushes to plant by Annie 5

Clematis Armandii
to and THINK I know what I would do if I was growing it. In Cornwall it is a very vigorous climber and I would pull some of the leading stems to a more horizontal position and do so from the start. I think cutting back as suggested would rejuvenate lower by lizmac
