Small evergreen shrubs/ small plants
Hi all (again ) , brought 2 packs (6 plants in 9cm pots) of evergreen shrubs from B&Q, now being the noive gardener i am, should i plant them out now or pot them on and plant out say during autum? ALSO, i brought a 6 pack of lupins and they too by M Fent

feature shrubs (evergreen)
Due to weed and moss taking over, I am forced to do away with my front lawn and have created 2 centre beds with gravel paths surrounding. The outer borders are well established with shrubs. I want to plant a feature shrub in the centre of each bed by Honeys Uncle

Evergreen fast growing shrubs
hedge form. The green and red foliage works well too! Pittosporum tenuifolium is a fairly quick growing evergreen that can also be used as hedging - hardy most places unless you live in Altnahara... Hebes, or what about holly? Lovely variegated forms by Neil Mumford

Solution?
Just wondered if anyone could help me with a solution for an evergreen shrub to mask the back of a garden fence which is over shadowed by a huge tree. Basically the back of the garden faces West looking towards the house and at the moment when you by ziggy

what is your favorite shrub? i am after a every green shrub which flowers in the summer and grews no more than 1 metre high by 1 metre wide. any ideas! Azalea lutea, adore the scent. Bought a orange version too, forgotten name, hoping it has by dannyboy10

.... Do they encroach into the garden too much ?  Hiya beccrow What height do you want these trees to be?  What size plot do you have ? Maybe evergreen shrubs? Evergreen trees are going to eat up your space much more than pleached trees - can you post some by Beccrow

Tree/shrub suggestion
