Talkback: 10 exotic house plants
I was quite excited at the prospect of some new exotic plants then huge let down when I saw what you were reccomending, I grow more exotic than this already including curry leaf trees (indoors) ginseng and Orchids in my conservatory Can anyone by mummycrafts

I have been growing exotic plants for most of live and try to see what plants can take.Have bamboos which are not meant to grow out site here in the UK.I have ginger plants which flower each year from the 1985 that is meant not grow here in the UK by jason

Unidentified plant with seeds at Holehird, Cumbria
these (as far as I could see). Does anyone have any idea what they are? They were in an area that was mainly planted with Primulas...    I'd love to know what they are, as they just look so exotic and alien. *edited to add, the label that you can see says by Melen

Kate I remember on my way to school when I was about 8 seeing Goldfinches in some one's garden and thinking how wonderful they looked and how we never had bird's like that in our garden,I thought they were quite exotic and where did they get them by oldchippy

Alstroemeria overwintering
I have a large Alstroemeria in a pot, I understand they are not fully hardy in cold climates.  If I move the pot to an unheated greenhouse or shed overwinter will this be enough to keep it ?  Also if the plant survives, when is the best time by sunnylou

Creating height and also a screen - to keep prying neighbours at bay!
Hello All, Plants are expensive creatures - particularly when you have a garden almost stripped bare. I'm after a range of plants, grasses which will act as a screen between neighbours and give that 'exotic' touch. Talking obvious choices by garjobo

Poison ivy everywhere
