I am so happy to report that I've had Goldfinches in my garden, after 5 years of trying to entice the more exotic birds, like bullfinches and goldfinches. Over the past three days I have seen pairs of Goldfinches, greenfinches (another wow factor by Roy McFarland

Gardeners World - not back for 4 weeks!
to watch continuous coverage should watch it there. It's also an opportunity to give Monty and the team a break. The time off might also be an opportunity for them to do some filming in sunny exotic locations. I'm horrified that GW has been booted off by Gardeners Wife

exotic looking, but flowers are insignificant.  Laurel will grow well in most conditions and gives good screening, but is rather plain. by Josephine3

I too also have a fatsia to blend in with my tropical garden and in dec it always warms my heart to see so many of the evergreen plants still looking pristine, despite the weather! I'am also an avid plant collector, and have simply bought plants by fatsia japonica
