Bird box v bird feeding
Small garden. Only 10 metres by 12 metres. I've got a feeding station for birds. I get quite a lot of visitors during the day - sparrows, starlings, tits, robins, blackbirds, pigeons and magpies (annoyingly!). I've been given a sparrow terrace by Tim Burr

I feed the birds a variety of food - mixed wild bird seed, peanuts late in the season when the babies have grown up and mixed seed plus mealworms. I also give them leftovers with home made wholewheat bread mixed with cooked pasta and grated cheese by midgelet

are spoilt by sunflower hearts and will hardly touch standard mixed bird feed so I doubt these fancy feeders would work in my garden. I was more interested in how she attached the pizza/baking trays to the bottom of feeders.  I'm not much good at DIY by Carol Mc

Feeding Birds / Protecting your plants
I find it interesting that under 'jobs to be done this week' it is suggested that we cover fruit trees and bushes to stop birds eating the emerging fruit buds and at the same time we get a whole raft of suggestions on how best to feed our garden by Beanli
