Companions in the wildlife garden
in the picture he sits guard over it and he has been fighting Starlings, Robins, Blue Tits, any bird that goes near he will try and keep them away. What a bully. He didn't fight a pigeon that came down to feed though, I suppose there are limits even for a by happymarion

encouraging the local woodpecker to come back to the garden
in there were 7 of them around waiting for me to go in so they could continue feeding. They are very agressive towards each other and other birds. peanuts are our woodpecker's favourites, I have one feeder right outside my kitchen window which they frequent by one girl and her dog(s)

weeks later since Cuckoo bees don't continue the nest. (I would upload a picture of her, but file is too big) I also witnessed a bird of prey land in my middle garden and fly off like a shot at the sight of me, leaving only a few sparrow feathers behind by Terri Quincey
