Angry Birds
of the upturned basket and go absolutely spare when the smaller birds get at the food, they peck at the basket and look most indignant . I love feeding the birds and the pigeons get their fair share of the food that gets dropped onto the floor but its quite funny by lesinnl

Feeding meal worms to my nesting blue tits
I posted these pictures in the Potting Shed section but I guess they should really belong here. Also it might prompt others to consider putting food out for our nesting birds. Hopefully clicking on the photos will enlarge them... I have blue tits by LeadFarmer

When to net blackcurrant bushes against birds?
I just noticed a blue tit nibbling at my second year blackcurrant bushes. Just tiny leaves so far. So I examined what it was feeding on and where the leaves join the stem there are what I assume are either leaves to come or the beginnings by buddha

Talkback: Help wildlife survive winter
It is a useful article. The main problem I have in winter is keeping the water unfrozen. it seems that as soon as I thaw the bird bath, it freezes over again. I tried that stuff to put in the water to inhibit freezing, it was too cold, so didn by rucklidge

Sparrowhawk dilemma
snatched a starling from the bird table and is now weighing up the tits and finches that feed from the fatballs in our tree. My options are : A. Stop feeding the birds but we have been doing so for years so worried about upsetting balance of nature. or, B by jean riley

Big Garden Bird Watch

to watch them flying in and out feeding their young. Poor things they work so hard. Yes ,its lovely to encourage birds to nest in the garden,I have put up a few , but no result ,I don't know why,so I am hoping maybe next year. by donutsmrs

Tree/Shrub Help
