Kate I remember on my way to school when I was about 8 seeing Goldfinches in some one's garden and thinking how wonderful they looked and how we never had bird's like that in our garden,I thought they were quite exotic and where did they get them by oldchippy

to upload a photo on here? I had the most amazing experience with a wild garden sparrow, I actually got it to perch on my finger while it was feeding on the edge of the bird feeding house.Is this unusual or am I Just getting over excited about nothing by Paul Hall

, and keep scaring them off, they will eventually get the message, and go elsewhere. Use a sort of cage over your feeding area that only lets in smaller species. If you visit the website of some of the suppliers of bird food including the RSPB you should find by Lavender Lady

pair in their area.  I know birds don't like nesting in boxes anywhere near bird tables or other feeding stations. The very first time i had a box the blue tits inspected it within minutes of putting it up and some nested successfully first year by Jess is in the Garden

Pigeons
feet by 8 feet under the tree. Do we have to stop feeding the birds in order to get rid of the pigeons? Also how can we mend the bare patch. I suspect any use of grass seed will prove pointless with the pigeons eating it before it germinates. It by KenF

to feed birds and enjoy them..they are part of my garden..when a cat is around it all stops until it goes away and annoys others. I agree both with Harry Hill re Richard Jones and Dahlia Lover re cats killing birds. I love the birds and feed them all year by Harry Hilly
