feeding
' will be high in nitrogen, so use on leafy crops like lettuce and brassicas.  Comfrey will be better as a general feed, especially for fruiting plants like tomatoes as it has a higher potash and phosphate content than liquid feed made only from nettles.  I use by nightgarden

Pieris problem
please? If your plant is in a position where frost can get at it AND early morning sun the next day it will show symptoms like the one you describe. Can you throw a piece of fleece over it and then, when it gets a bit milder, give it an ericaceous feed. by Stanley 2

Laurel hedge
Our laurel hedge which is approximately 4 years old has continually developed browning tips and yellowing of leaves which then fall off.  There is always plenty of new growth but new leaves then follow suit.  The hedge is planted in clay soil by Laura Laybourne

Tomatoe leave have grey marks on them
, or I've found some plant feeds in water mark the leaves if it splashes them. Do you have a photo? Yes, it sounds to me like scorch - try to keep the water off the leaves when watering - damp leaves are very susceptible to blight and other nasty by Nicholas Hollingshead
