Geraniums not flowering
to like. Do not over water for one thing or over feed-neglect them to a certain extent-they will flower in time-it is a waiting game. I shall be very surprised if you don't get flowers this year-all plants want to flower to set seed-that is what by Lesley 4

I have made several litres of comfrey fertiliser. Can anyone let me know the  ratio of fertiliser:water ?  Also are there any plants I should not feed with this. Hi Christine, It depends on how concentrated you have made the comfrey liquid by christine littlewood

my collection.   Are you feeding your plants regularly throughout the summer? Last summer, for example, was so wet that a single spring feed would have been washed out of the ground, leaving the plants very hungry. Theres an old adage that says,  'Keep the roots by whitelillypond

Sunflower Problems
How big are they? Sunflowers grow so fast that they run out of food and water very quickly. I'm having the same problem, but I thought it was because I'd overdone the plant food..? You shouldn't really be feeding seedlings for the first few weeks by Ken Sharp

When and how to feed
't feed those cuttings yet.  Can they be potted on?  If so there will be soMe feed in the fresh compost. However, a very dilute tomato feed if you really want to. Your chicken pellets are best  around veg or plants when they are bit bigger.  Mix well by * Red Dahlia *

Ants on my cucumber plants
at the root of our cucumber plant last year. It did not seem to make any difference. Fruit were untouched and the plant remained healthy.  Ants are known to farm aphids. They feed off the honeydew aphids excrete and in return protect the aphids on the plant by Natasha Baker
