Olive Tree care indoors....losing it leaves- what am I doing wrong?
to around 17C, I keep watering it but not too much.  Is it too hot, too cold, not watered enough, should I move it to an cooler room or is it natural (autumnal phase) to lose it leaves now?  Haven't feed since summer.  Winters here are cold, frosty and damp by dizzylizzy

in the flowering period but are prone to frost and the flowers sometimes are lost. It should be fine there BJay, providing you give it a good start when you plant it out & allow space for it to mature. They can be quite big shrubs ultimately so you dont want by Rosa carriola

Not all bad news in the garden
Had a walk around the garden taking stock after a good lunch and was surprised at how well most of the plants are doing.My Hydrangea Macrophylla Sheila is in full bloom with pink corymbs of flowers, it is in a sheltered spot and gets afternoon by Palaisglide

Reply to greenman: I'm doubtful that this is the reason, but certainly can't for certain.Blight is an airborne disease caused by a fungus, and spread by its spores. It may just be that the first plant to get infected was furthest from the aloe by greenman

Oh, such lovely pictures,James. I too love eryngiums and have just bought a potful of seedlings of Eryngium varifolium from the Botanic Garden in Bristol, which has given me five plants. No flowers this year as they are so small but the leaves by donutsmrs

Lupin problems
bud as well as the leaves? I'm also growing some lupins from seed and have several baby plants. I pricked out a few on Monday, but they're shrivelling (they're in a greenhouse). Might it be they're a bit tender? They have two sets of 'proper' leaves so by Yellow Daisy

malliable like normal soil is? Im growing Lillies in it but cant get my trowel in to plant them. Sorry- but I don't get what you mean-ericaceous is a term for acid soil-why would you have 50% of that  and 50% "normal"-I am puzzled-then you say full of roots by jackie-gardener
