feeding
I'm going to have a go at making my own liquid feeds from comfrey, nettles and manure - in separate bins. I've found the 'recipes' and diluting rates for each but I'm not sure about where to use them. Does anyone know which liquid is best for which by nightgarden

Top soil feed for shrubs
I look after a nursing home garden, all raised beds, one bed is full of shrubs, is it warm enough to mix the feed into the top soil yet, it says on the box to put down in spring, but because of the bad weather we have had I have held back. I think by Flower bird

Talkback: Feeding plants
Phew, it's not just my garden then! Was starting to get quite worried about the look of some of my plants. Will keep up with the feeding this week then - let's hope there is enough time to get around them all before the rain starts again! Bring by Abby2

Liquid feed that doesn't burn leaves?
I have missed the boat for putting down any chicken pellets or other type of solid feed this year unfortunately, so I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good, organic, liquid feed to give the garden a boost?  Last year I tried a diluted seaweed by Lunarz

New Lawn; to feed or not to feed
for at least 10 years, so I thought the brownness could be because of lack of nutrients. The last issue of GW suggested applying autum feed in September to strengthen the roots over winter,  This seemed ideal, until I got the packet home and read that it should by Nick thomas

Stored home made liquid seaweed feed...
I have some cartons of liquid seaweed feed along with a bin 1/3 full of the stuff, left over from last year. Shudder to think what it must smell like. How long does it keep for? Is it better to make a fresh batch and dispose of this lot? The seaweed by Zoomer44

Feeding Clematis
. Cheers.   Blood, Fish and Bone now, and then tomato feed when growing strongly. That would do but if they're a bit feeble I'd also give them a liquid feed now as a tonic.  You can also buy specialist clematis feed.  i've just been out doing some of mine by lloyd_shooter

what feed?
Hi, I was just reading an article in the RHS mag that said magnesium deficiency causing yellowing leaves etc, can be caused by over use of nitrogen feeds such as tomato feed as potassium competes with magnesium for uptake by plants. I use as much by sthlndngrower
