Clematis Should I get 1 or 2
mechanism (not sure what it is called), it isn't always effective enough. The stems are fragile and handling them can cause them to die back, so be careful. They need plenty of watering and feeding for lots of flowers, although they are tough and can survive by blackest

ROSES
? This is my second year having them after purchasing 2 in a sale last year and don't have a clue about pruning. Ryan let them grow to height you want before pruning.....you need a framework established first. I would concentrate on feeding this year and forget by Brycey D

Slugs may destroy my life
hibernation and also any new hatchllings.  Repeat the scatterings every two weeks or after heavy rain to get the next lot and stop them all breeding and feeding. Once plants like hostas and dahlias emerge, use a garlic spray to deter slugs and keep up by Rampant climber

Complete novice thwarted by the weeds!
weed and feed and when everything dies (!!) scrape all the weeds and moss out and re seed. I have the same problem here. If the grass is not getting enough light it won't do so well too so you may need a more suitable seed. Good luck!  My garden is full by Emma Mitchell

Talkback: Flying Ants Day
. Did you know ants and thyme go together? The soil on an anthill is so fine the wild thyme seeds find it perfect for germination. I have lots of anthills and it is fascinating when they all fly. My children used to rob the eggs to feed their goldfish by fusseyboy
