Plants for complete shaded areas
Please can anyone tell me what plants can be planted in complete shaded areas in my garden Ferns like to live in shaded areas. If you have a forest of woodland area near to where you live you'll see them growning amongst the tree in abundance. I by chippysteve1

, Euonymus, Skimmia, Geraniums, Hebes, Aquilegia, Heuchera, Astilbe, Ferns, Foxgloves (biennial and perennial) Lonicera nitida, Clematis (with their heads in the sun) and that's not including things I don't have but want such as Brunnera Jack Frost by Cultivating Carol

Are Hostas really for shade?
shaded border. cheers Justin www.durhamgardener.co.uk I have hostas planted on a shady bank amongst ferns, pulmonarias, dicentra alba, foxgloves and ajuga. I also have mine among ferns and pulmonaria plus mecanopsis poppy, poor mans gunnera, candleabra by Beverley Jones

. Foxgloves, bluebells and ferns grow under mine - I've not had much success with anything else though! The dead nettles are usefull in dry shade, they have quite long roots and send them deep down for a bit of moisture. Try Lamium Orvala or I have a feeling by Standen1

how to cultivate moss where there is grass
and shade for the moss....my lawn is about 40% moss and in those areas violets and fox and cubs thrive.  You'll need to find the right wildflowers for those conditions (perhaps ragged robin and native ferns too), mine just appeared! Thank you.  Still by C15.52

Will my ASPARAGUS recover
x 20' rows of asparagus in their fifth year, grown from seed. I was looking forward to harvesting them last year, but the spears were extremely spindly and turned to fern at 6". this year no sign of any of the crowns. I have bought more seed by ZenZinnia

kates grown Primula bulleyana from in the green seeds
from green seeds too.   Hewitt's Double. My favourite plant because the leaves look like Maidenhair fern and you get lovely little flowers to boot. I haven't tried propogation, even Carol Klein said it was difficult, scared me off. I don't have a by kate mccomb

Jackaranda?
. I've never had a plant die from the concentration or brand that I used before, but the leaves did seem very fine, fern-like and sensitive. Could somebody who knows these plants put me out of my misery and tell me if I have killed the poor things off?? by Dinah
