what feed?
ferns and hostas. Is there a gernal rule of thumb with regard to what feeds to use and for which plant? are soem feeds better suited to foliage plants and others flowering or fruiting plants? All this has really made me wonder if i'm doing the right by sthlndngrower

What to do with unused space?
? What about a stumpery with ferns and other interesting things, Some grow really tall and would hide water butt. You could gravel up to the permanent stumps etc Or more water butts How much space are we talking about? Cold frames need a well lit spot by bunnysgarden
