toads and frogs
for the first time, it will probably be another 2 or 3 years before any toads return to breed. The males may well turn up a year or so before any females. It is possible that they will never return at all if the pond is very small. Frogs are much less fussy by barbara bradford

Mowing the lawn, but not the frogs!
emerge as frogs, and end up sitting in my lawn which will become a prolem when I come to mow. I set my lawn mower blades to the highest setting al year, which keeps it drought tolerant even in the hottest of summers, but it also means on the most warm by Tim Burr

What a lovely frog saga. A hedgehog once spent the winter in one of the black bin bags which I use to collect leaves for leaf mould and which resides in my potting shed - the back of the garage really. I often find frogs asleep in the morning by sarahs pondlife...

We also have lots of frogs in our garden & spring traffic is very busy in our pond. We had to make a smaller pond for the frog spawn as our fish were eating all the tadpoles. Sadly however, this year I have found two dead frogs in my garden by Marigold
