If you were an amphibian, would you want to live here?
today and he told me that there are no other ponds nearby and he's only ever seen a few frogs in yrs. it's left me a bit disheartened, however I will hope for the best that we attract something to the garden.  Yes, you will attract wildlife.  Frogs by JodeJay

.Kate the pot pond is a lovely idea and im going to give it a go , but how will the frogs be able to climb into my pot i would love some little tadpoles Frogs can climb really well DIGWEED, mine often use the trellis to climb into my tin bath pond, even though by oldchippy

Ponds for wildlife
in the middle straight sided section so that we can swim in it. I have however noticed that I get  all my toads, frogs, common and great crested newts in this second concrete straight sided pond and virtually none in the natural clay one. I think the reason by wrightt

Frogspawn
've just lifted the bubble plastic to make sure all is ok and I've quite oftern seen frogspawn, so it doesn't stop the frogs getting in. Although its small it still attracts a lot of wild life, the birds love it and I've seen dragon flies too. Hi, Kate.  My by Kate Bradbury

I am putting a number of odd broken ceramic pots, large stones and bricks, logs, twigs, bits of bamboo and broken tiles etc on top of the weed free covering, between the joists under the decking for newts, frogs, toads small mammals and insects by Frieda (London)

often overlook how they've disappeared from so many other areas! I am fairly lucky as I live in an area that has many streams ,but then they built the dreaded Motor way and ruined the prospective homes for frogs and newts, but we do still have a few by Daily Digger

they need to be in full sunlight? I am still unclear which two oxygenating plants will suit my small pond. They will be replacing a water feature . The pond will also have three goldfish and a resident frog in summer. Pleaase can you suggest suitable by elisestewart

Saving Toads in and around the garden.
Hi all, In responce to the article in my april gardeners world edition "Toad In A Hole" (Page 58) I think that we should do more in our gardens to support Toads and Frogs. These helpful creatures can eat pests and add an extra amount of wildlife by Andrew Martin

blackcurrant? If this is misumena vatia no worries. They're not vegetarians. Generally spiders aren't a problem. Spider mites, which aren't spiders are a different matter. I think these change colour like frogs and some other animals Thanks, that's what I by buddha
