japanese beetle

Hello I'm a Lily Beetle, come and get me!
I don't grow a lot of lillies, but Lily Beetles must count as the worst design for a pest. They're the brightest of red, and what are they a pest of? Plants with green leaves! Though in true QR fashion I can't bring myself to kill them, so by quercus_rubur

mystery orchid?
I have something in my garden [i hate to call it a weed]. it is more than 2m tall,has 2in thick, hollow stems. the flowers are like small pink orchids which bloom from may till september, and grows in a wild part of the garden in semi shade on top by Andrew Earl2

Thousands of bees on allotment
, there are simply too many now to be able to work the plot in full confidence.  Whilst we try to garden organically we have now got to the point where it has got out of hand.  Have contacted the local authority allotment officer who says he has never come across by Bath Bun
