Tiny black flies

Rose leaf rolling saw-fly
-spraying every three weeks would mean no flowers - certainly on the time-table of my roses!  The saw-fly were laying here from mid April to the third week of June this year. I am not a great fan of RHS suggestions for using chemicals to deal with garden pests by issybee

loads of cucumber flowers but they all just fall off. Why? I have the same problem.lots of flowers then no growth. one cucumber has started to grow but is stunted I purchased a BillyOh Tongue and Groove garden shed and its falling apart after 8 weeks by Glen

Bird Feeders on the allotment?
....but then birds and beasties come before fruit and veg in my garden You could always check with the committee (if there is one) whether there are any objections to encouraging wildlife.  I'd be mindful though of neighbouring gardeners who might be using slug by Twinklekat

appeared in my squash and courgette flowers this year, and I had no idea what they were. Great to know that they aren't particularly damaging. so relieved these don't cause a problem they seem to be in every single daffodil I have in my garden and my by kaycurtis

have any advice on this? Does bagged manure have any advantange over manure direct from the farm? northwood kirkby allotments i went and got bags of manure last year from my garden centre and i had no problems with it next week i am going to get sume by Gartenzwerg

Hello, I am helping my son and his wife to tidy their garden and have come across a vigorous vine that i do not recognise.Its leaves are approx an inch long and half an inch wide, mid green, on a pink to red stem. Leaves are approx three and a half by Bluemoon2

conditions and not enough ventilation especially at night. You can also get a black sticky mould caused by pests such as white fly. Thanks for reply, I think its the second one you described. When I start to pick the fruit there is 'clouds' of dust everywhere by ELLY

blueberries
Its July and back in the spring I bought from the garden center a set of 3 blueberries    I planted them up into bigger pots with the correct compost and put them in a sunny place in the garden. They had a few new leves but now are stripped bare by pybarlow
