What is this?
have you seen aphids/greenfly on it? My first impression was that it was a perennial sweet pea, and not a clematis at all! Deffo not a sweetpea. Its produced 2 flowers, both appeared like the one in the pic. Ive now cut the flowers back so it can put by Miss.Understood

of growing it?  Particularly I would like to know if it is prone to disease as the rose I want it to replace has suffered quite badly with blackspot and greenfly and I would like to have something more disease resistant. Gorgeous rose, absolutely beautiful by Warburton Pike

All the greenfly are in my garden, on my roses, sweetpea's and lettce. I have seen loads of ladybirds at work in the hants area. Oh and i have had no end of trouble with slugs since we had rain, they have even found a way round the copper tape! Very by delmonte

I can report that having read your advice about the rhubard solution it has worked for me a treat against greenfly. They seem to shrivel up. My real problem is blackfly and the rhubard is not doing the trick here. I have tried 2 different chemical by alistair

not so many greenfly or whitefly either tho plenty of blackfly on the elderflowers in next door's garden and on my tall thistles. Well, I got so fed up of waiting for a photograph on this page, that I googlesd it. Now I've seen that, thankfully I know by Karen

black bugs
affected shoots, the bugs will have sucked the sap from the leaves and even if you use a spray which kills the bugs the leaves left will be distorted, you'll also have less bugs to kill. Aphids - black/greenfly breath through their skin. I use a mix by Donna2

Herb infestation
As the title says I'm having problems with my indoor herbs. I noticed white 'dust' on the table and then realised it was all over my herbs mostly on the stems but some on the leaves too I believe they are greenfly eggs they are like tiny white seed by phoenixx87

the cold spells. It did last year but came back but I'm wondering if the fungus is telling me the tree is dead? Can anyone help please. to eradicate of greenfly i add a couple of crushed cloves of garlic to half a litre of water and boil by peter dee

that send sticky dew over my garden; today we have had swarms of greenfly coming off the tree & into the gardens. These have been followed by ladybird larve but they aren't fast enough to stop the aphids attacking my broadbeans! This feels far too early by Murray Fortescue

had a bad attack from Greenfly, I got some spray and drenched it , Greenfly have gone now but the leaves have started to turn brown on the edges and some have fallen off?? I am concerned as I have only had it a few weeks and it looks to be about by pammeed
