Repairing old wooden greenhouse
Hi, with our new house we have inherited an old wooden greenhouse which has seen better days. I'm looking for advice on how best to treat the wood - it appears abit soft in places but not too rotten and as this good weather has dried it out nicely I by Caithness Girl

Heating a greenhouse
Having been caught out again by the recent cold spell so I decided to invest in a small paraffin heater for my greenhouse After several false starts with the height of the wick and smoke I now appear to have sorted it. The one thing I'm not sure by Roly2

old greenhouse uses??
Hi, does anyone know the best/safest way to get rid of an old, unsalvagable greenhouse? I wont be attempting it myself but no idea who to call. We moved in october but just never got round to dealing with it. I thought better still rather than by LeighAnne Hayes

Unheated/uninsulated greenhouse
I have various plants in greenhouse, lavender, penstemons, nicotiana, canterbury bells, that are quite happy, though not very mature (hence being in greenhouse) With the severe frosts forecast how can I protect the plants further. Limited funds by Tinker Christmas Bell

Talkback: Greenhouse temperatures
Know exactly what you mean! Same with me. Into greenhouse twice daily to open up or close down....hopefully it'll settle down soon. I know exactly what you are saying - my first year with a poly tunnel, it goes from -1 over night to over 30 by Lou

siting compost near greenhouse?
We are resiting our compost bins and considering putting them next to the greenhouse. Is this a good idea? Well it is not a bad idea-as long as they are not blocking any light-then why not? Mine's near the GH, I've had no problems. If you have by Sue Edwards2

Talkback: Cleaning the greenhouse
Thanks for the sound advice on the greenhouse. My next concern is that in the past I have re-used pots from year to year, removing the old compost, but this year I thought it would be best to clean the pots to ensure they are totally clean to use by kay Curtis
