Holm Oak posts rot resistance
covered may be bad - but would like to know if anyone has tried it. I just looked on the wood database, a site for woodworkers, and that states that Holm Oak has good rot resistance and has been used for boat building. That being said, ground contact by Paul Blake

Hi everyone Can anyone recomend a plant to cover side of my shed? It's not to hide the shed, just excuse to add some colour Thanks Is it the shady side or the sunny side? Is the ground earth or paved? Most climbing plants, like clematis by Frozz

Jelly
I have areas of the garden covered with a jelly like substance.  It is almost like frog spawn but without the eyes.  It is brown/green in colour. It seems to appears most on ground that has not be dug or concrete. What is it and how do I get rid by jonnybabes

dead nettle
I was going to buy a red dead nettle to plant as ground cover in a shady corner. Just wondered if there is any reason why I shouldn't just transplant some of the wild dead nettle that is growing in  the street outside? To be clear I'm not talking by tulipgirl

Climbers for wet areas
Has anyone any ideas for climbers or any plant that would cover a 3' high by 6' wide trellis on the edge of my bog garden. I need it to give me some privacy from bothersome neighbours (not too near but in my line of sight without some barrier)  and by frensclan

Something digging up my Cherry Blossom trees
Afternoon All, I'm new here and I live on the borders of Northants and Rutland. Back in November I bought 3 trees for the garden. I planted them and then cover the ground with mulch afterwards. Starting 2 weeks ago, I have woken up every morning by astroboy

Lawn damage from fire
It depends on the size. If it was a large bonfire then you will need to spike and re-seed it. Neighbouring grass will move back in in time, but it would take a fair while to cover more than a few inches effectively. Following a burn from a barbeque by Littleredlobster
