Clearing a large area of Ground Elder
the job, though ground elder is quite difficult to eradicate. I'm interested to see that you're hoping to turn it into a wild area... ground elder and nettles are pretty wild already. Nettles in particular are fantastic for ladybirds, butterflies and moths by Rose7

Ground Elder
My garden is covered in ground elder which I have been trying to tackle by digging over, removing as much as possible and spraying with weedkiller for over a year now.  I want to lay a new lawn. Is there a membrane I can use under the new turf by Glassgirl

Ground Elder
I have a large garden in a rural setting that was grown over when we bought the house 3 years ago. We've managed to tame most of it now but I can't get to grips with the ground elder. For two tears I just mowed it like grass, but this year I planted by LouatLarches

Ground Elder
Our neighbours have lots of ground elder which comes up in ourgarden. Any ideas how to get rid of it. My sympathies are with you. I've dug up enough to start a cottage industry if only I could find a use for it, and there's plenty left! Glyphosate by Kathleen fortune

I have a rough stone dense section which is barked but have a lot of ground elder in there, as the area is so rough (partial building debris , heavy clay, trees) it is difficult to dig . I don't tend to use weed killers as have a dog but if one by bunnysgarden

Ground Elder for a beginner
Hi,   I've been reading all the threads on ground elder so I know I might be at risk of going over old ground with this topic.  We moved here 6 months ago.  It is a big garden with lots of work needing doing and I think I have found ground elder by Emma179

Talkback: Ground elder
thank - you for the handy tip! Agree with the advice given. This has been my tactic for the last 8 years and I am still pulling out shoots of ground elder. I clear the soil when replanting and nip out any green shoots when they appear. I have by juniorbayleaf

Ground elder in compost bin
Our compost bins are on soil and we have a ground elder problem which of course will spread if we use the compost.  We want to start a new compost bin but a concrete base is the only thing we can think of.  Would that still work or can someone think by Nik&Ann
