Another Mystery Plant thread
's survive outside. Looks like an Aloe, maybe variegata which has red flowers  I'd agree the plant in front is an aloe. My son used to grow these in the conservatory at our last house. Took me ages to get them to die after he left. Any other indoor plant dies by Huntertony

Talkback: 10 exotic house plants
recommend some houseplants I can try? I have a conservatory which has full sun all day in the summer and is heated in the winter. I currently grow the usual such as aloes, mother in laws tongue, Christmas cactus, various succulents, pitcher plants by mummycrafts

Weird plant
is grownig from a bulb/corn, but I did not plant it. Does anyone know what this is please? Looks like the flower spike from a partrige - breasted aloe. I 've got two growing in the conservatory . They flowered in April but they were orangey - red . Did you by Bekki Brown

bare length of stem below it, and gradually the rosettes of leaves sit at the end of ever lengthening stems. This does add to the character of the plant, but if they grow too long then these can be cut off and used as cuttings. Just cut off a rosette by Carmaine

Clematis in pot.
beasties hide underneath them. It' s in a big blue pot so something to contrast nicely please. Oops done something wrong there ! Clematis are very hungry and thirsty plants so be prepared to feed and water regularly during the growing season and alo protect by jean riley

Flowers we don't like?
    kerri, is it the scent of hyacinths that you don't like? I'm not a fan of cut flowers at all except sweet peas if I grow them. I prefer my flowers live and growing outside.   Also, in the past, kittens and young cats have always seen flowers in vases by artjak

to enjoy the fine dry weather-we wait until it is time to panic-bulbs-chrysanthus ladykiller opened yesterday nestled in its foliage the blossom almost on the ground-chrysanthus aura opened today-it has faded from the beds and grows now only in the gravel by david spikes
