My birthday
that am trying to disguise and already have honeysuckle and clematis, plus a small apple tree, lilac and climbing hydrangea in that area. Any ideas? Passion flower, mine seems to like my clay soil. It stayed green all winter this year as an added bonus. I by frustrated_gardener

Mini-orchards
I work at sea 8 months of a year and my back garden consists of grey stone slate chips and decking. I have troughs and tubs of veg and herbs along the back frence I would like to have a row of mini-fruit tress that grow no more than 2.5m high by rovarch

pear tree
is grafted and it sprouts from below that abandon all hope Hi! ive been out and had a look and its not good news me and my wife have also checked the roots and they were brown and brittle so ive taken it out but weve got 2 apple trees growing from seed by Richard Morris

not survive. Is the soil really bad, for some reason, or were they allowed to dry out. Would a new, different, tree meet a better fate. Maybe you could grow an ornamental cherry, if you like them. Crab apples, amalanchier, weeping silver birch, flowering by liz collier

and potatoes ready to harvest before the blight. I too have noticed a massive yield of blackberries to go with the gigantic yield of apples. I made a huge pot of soup all from produce from the garden today - quite yummy. Sugar peas are great, not just by Greenwatch

Fast growing small tree for very small garden
Hi, I have a  very small windy garden and I would like to plant a tree that grows to about 12' to 15'  It will have to be planted very  close to a fence, the soil is clay.any one got any ideas? not really a good idea to plant any tree so close to a by Pat Sanders

Apple tree dieing back
Hey, I have an apple tree and for the last two years it has started to come into leaf and then blossom and then it dies back about 20% to dead wood (which doesnt then leaf next year). I thought it was being strangled by a large bush growning under by MaxiiLS

apples
to grow probably an apple tree against the wall as an espalier. Could any of you please advise if there are any better varieties to use, we like juicy and crunchy if that helps! also best time of year to plant and anything special we need to do to the soil by Moonlit Hare

is mainly clay I've seen other quince trees loaded down with fruit. Can you please tell me what the proglem could be. Have a look at some of the apple threads around as I'm fairly sure you'll be suffering from the same thing - lack of pollinators in the air by Ahmadmirza
