with the inside sown ones by the time we get them hardened off. My motto is try it and see seeds don't grow in the packet so sow them and hope for the best even if you are a bit late. Good luck. I think the kids should have a place on the show as sometimes theyre by Lynn Drakelands

toms & peppers (in a propagator) relatively late, i.e. mid-April, then housing them in the greenhouse till the end of May (I grow lots for a village plant sale). BUT this year, they've not grown strongly and are so TINY, I may only be able to charge 25p by oldchippy

or 4 weeks. I'm pretty tough on my plants and put them outside once it starts to feel like summer and I still have one Apache chilli growing outside that i planted last summer. I've sown banana pepper seeds as well as the free chilli pepper by Sajid

I have just thrown an accumulated pile of empty toilet roll tubes into the recycling. This post reminded me I was planning to grow lots of sweet corn this year so I'll go and take them back out. (The loo rolls.) Then I'll find the sweet corn seeds by LGNOTTS

What to sow in January
talking about? You could sow sweetpea now, I always sow in the autumn but again anytime now and I've been growing them for years. Also what about Cornflowers and Calendula, they could be sown now too perhaps. I do have a covered back yard with perspex as a by nodlisab

tomato chutney will be growing twice as many this year! i have sown lemon tree, christmas grapes, banana cream and vintage wine heritage tomatoes for the past couple of years and they produce the most puny looking plants, not as cold weather resistant by Helen
