Stony and hard ground
I would love to grow a few vegetables and fruit but the ground is hard, stony and full of grass, weeds and moss. Apparently it probably has never seen a spade in it's live and neighbour reckons I'll end up with a sore back if I try and dig it over by Chickenmama

late start,more advice please!!
fertiliser. Not sure about shallow soil if it's on tarmac. What's the drainage like? If you are growing vegetables on the deeper soil you could grow potatoes ( always recommended by the ol' boys for a first crop). Also peas/beans since they fix nitrogen by geg jones
