collecting and storing seeds
you leave to dry out. I would rather eat them and buy a new packet of seeds next year. You grow corn fairly close together in blocks, not long rows, so that the pollen from the tassels can fall onto the female bits. It's best to buy beetroot seed by Mizz

using space
to finish picking before the beans block the sun? I thought greyhound cabbage or sweet corn to grow up through. or pumpkin? Lettuce and radishes will crop quickly and not mind shade. Beetroot and chad are fairly quick growing. You might get golf ball by gardening Rev

Runner beans plants decimated up to 4 feet
We have a problem on our 48 allotments.   Everyone's runner beans, peas, beetroot leaves and sweetcorn are being eaten.  The beans are totally decimated up to 4 feet and the tops left intact.  The leaves and beans are all eaten but the main stalk by Vernon Herridge
