Veg to sow in February...
I'm beginning to get sowing fingers so have begun to plan this years veg plots...what to grow...where and when... so went through last years garden diary. Looks like the only veg which survived an early sowing were pea's early onward and brussels by Zoomer44

Where are my vegetables?
of living a bit ....prices of veg are ridiculous!)  The garlic onions and rhubarb are doing really well but everything else seems to be afraid to come out!! I've planted peas, beans potatoes, carrots and beetroot so far and apart from the peas and beans just by Diane Horsley

Help me identify shoots please
. This works for parsnips, turnips, beetroot, kholrabi etc. Just to confirm j_gilberts doubts about me mixing up turnips and parsnips, here's a better picture of the plant growing where I'd planted Turnips .. having looked at Lizzies pic I'm pretty sure by Alan Howard

Talkback: Growing salad leaves
been on them from a feed point of view. Did chard as well and that worked as well I do love growing salad in pots, but the aphids seem to find it quickly no matter where I put them. How do you keep them away? I would not be without them, Pippa. You by James Hunter

50cms Hi Cat poo is unpleasant for us but won't hurt the soil, there's always something sh...ing in the garden, that's nature. Weeds need digging out if they're invasive perennials or digging in otherwise.  What are you going to grow? Hmm well I by VirginGardener

of bamboo in the middle of the trays and grow different things in each half. I enjoy pricking out. Some plants don't transplant well, such as carrots, beetroot, so if you want to get an early start then do as figrat does and use lengths of guttering by blackest

Gigantic courgette leaves
things down.  My first sowing of chantenay carrots on the 15th April are still just whispy roots.  The beetroot sown on the same day are a little bigger.  The radishes  sown a month later caught up with the lot sown on 15th April and we ate them all by lucy33

Need help
to do as well which is 2 packets of different courgettes, flower sprout, Carrot, parsley, dwraf french beans, beetroot, leeks, 2 varieties lettuce, cauliflower, and 2 packets of different broccoli, onion. Then there is the cut flower which is aster by haggi961

Talkback: Growing veg in containers: keep it cropping
in containers this year, mine are all in raised beds, but my beetroots are just the best. I have never had such good beetroots they are just wonderful. In fact everything this year is growing so well. I did grow carrots in containers last year and they were just by lusia62
