Begonia tubers not growing
I potted up some begonia tubers in compost and lightly covered them in soil in the middle of April. Then I put them in my greenhouse and when there was no sign of any growth, moved them into the house. I have been waiting patiently for them by Jandmac

nipping out young plants
to begonias? Any help greatfully received Bev it depends on how the plant is growing, if it looks bushy enough then dont bother but always be careful to allow the plant to reach a decent size before you nip out the growing tip, and try to pot on the growing by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw

Talkback: Take begonia leaf cuttings
this summer but one of them started to grow leaves about 3 weeks ago and it is growing quite well now. What should I do? Keep it planted or store it? The other corm shows no life. I have begonias out side in big potts, should i bring the tubers in after by 1912Andy

Plant for tub under carport - light but no sun
begonias grow in shade. If green then hostas, Brunnera Jack Frost; if purple, I have a heuchera Plum Pudding in a pot in shade, perhaps other varieties of heuchera as well. Hosta would be a good idea, and I could keep an eye out for slugs !! I will have by Mari Williams

Bizzie/Busy Lizzies!
What alternatives are people going to be growing this year, especially after the collapse of impatiens due to the new virus? Are New Gunea Impatiens affected? Personally, I'm not keen on them. Having worked in a garden centre for many years by lilwead

Begonia tubers
I thought I had purchased plug plants but they are bulbs. The last time I order Begonia tubers less than half germinated. The instructions say to plant in shallow boxes containing a mixture of loam/ leaf mould/sand. Can I buy a mixture like this by lindapalmara
