saving begonias
Can i save my trailing begonias and trailing sushias from my hanging baskets for next year as they grew really big and it seems a shame to waste them. Begonias-yes-remove form baskets shake off as much of the soil as possible-there will be a small by dd99

is growing well. Should I have treated it as my Canna Lily and kept it in slightly damp soil in a frost free place over winter? The Canna Lily is now growing strongly. I was under the same impression and on inspecting mine today found it had rotted away by willowplanter

Begonias

Planting bulbs in the shed.
start of my baskets in the shed,(trailing begonia tubas)will they germinate just as if they were hung in the greenhouse? as it has windows on one side,but doesnt have any means of heat. Have sown seed and left them in the shed to grow by the window by gavtheblade

Impatiens
in the conservatory, where they are stil blooming, I bought some New guinea plugs from which I have now got loads of cuttings. I am going to try growing impatiens and begonia from my own seed this year has anybody got tips/ do's and dont's Hiya lyn. Do you take new by Verdun

Begonia tubers
I saved some begonia tubers from last year and have set them off in a heated propagator and have discovered some little seeds sprouting from the tubers. The begonias were originally planted in a hanging basket along with some other basket plants by Jean Genie

Hanging baskets and window boxes
Sanvitalia? these have a mass of small yellow daisies all summer long Pam LL x     Your hanging basket is lovely Lilylouise but I should have mentioned that I also dislike begonias.   I usually grow fuchsias in the baskets on the north side.   I do like by obelixx
