Box Balls growing in solid clay?
I bought quite a few Box Ball plants from Tescos last week. They are healthy looing plants but I decided to pot a few of them on into bigger pots. Which is when I noticed they are growing in what appears to be solid clay!! Heres the healthy looking by LeadFarmer

Box Blight
Hi, I have planted up two box parterre and a bed of box balls. I followed all guides and did not scrimp on planting e.g grit compost bone meal.  After looking healthy for 3months they have suddenly taken a turn for the worst.  I suspect blight after by Helga

Hi there, I have an issue with a low hedge of box I am trying to grow. I have about 10 plants that have been in for a year now. They are alive but look very yellow. Below is a link to a photo of one (I know I need to weed around it!). You can see by Jammy2

Make do and mend coldframes...ideas?
cardboard boxes with gloss paint and then putting glass over the top. Any ideas gratefully accepted! Bright Blessings! Got any bricks ?? Dry build, a brick box like structure - put the glass over the top. Go to your local market and ask the meat/fish sellers by Beltane

It's about 1.8m up from the ground, north facing, very protected with a bambooo growing over the opening and a mature ceanotus arching over it.  Crab apple in front which birds often hop onto. Many blue tits, sparrows, robins and wrens in our garden by Jess is in the Garden

Just bought some box plant seeds online.Any tips on quicker growth, or even just how to grow and pot on.I havent a scoobie on how to grow these mini hedges ,would appreciate any advice on types of soil in pots,where best and how long to keep them by andrew j

patio with circular bed
I have built a new circular patio and have created a circular bed all around to enclose it. Ideally i would like to plant a small hedge, but dont want it to grow more than about a foot wide or foot high. I know box is slow growing but was looking by paul killen
