topiary box plants
i have sevaral box plants in pots had them about 4 yrs I want them to grow bigger so i have better shapes, instead of clipping them is it best to leave for a year or 2 then clip to shape It depends on how big you want the finished topiary by red john

Talkback: Culinary herbs pot display
can you grow forest flame from a cutting of an already healthly plant why does this pot need bubble wrap and polystyrene chips when other pots with herbs don't seem to? what is the bubble wrap for? This is for a window sill box, so I assumed by barbsf84

, but it was a long time ago I wasnt sure.  Yes, its the two box balls in the grey pots by the white door. I also have a 4th box ball growing in the garden border, you can see it in the photo below. Im planning a garden redesign where I intend to use more of them by LeadFarmer

Problems with newly planted topiary box hedge.
of these are growing just great, but one isnt looking too good. Now I bought these box plants from b&q there were about 10 in the pack haha! The one that currently isnt looking good has replaced one that wasnt good - in the same spot!?! Ok, took note of that about by Pauly D

Basil leaf damage
After having torrential rain for the last few days the basil in my windo box has developed some brown spots on the leaves and they are starting to fall, could this be caused by over watering? Yes there is good drainage.   I have noticed in the past by discodave

How do you stop seedling's growing tall and scraggly / Give them more all-round light basically,don't keep too warm and definitely do not sow too early What are we talking about here? and don't sow too thickly, (as I never seem to learn). just by graham hunter

) so no nesting boxes for the moment! The same as Dove i tend to put my nesting boxes behind growing clematis and climbing roses, this has proved successful a good few times over the years, i'am all for encouraging birds to visit my garden. I do have a by daydaisy

also germinated. I really hope someone understands what im going on about because im starting to confuse myself.. Any advice appreciated     Take seedlings out of the box as they germinate, or they'll grow too tall in the heat. You only really need by averil 2
