propgation advice please
also germinated. I really hope someone understands what im going on about because im starting to confuse myself.. Any advice appreciated     Take seedlings out of the box as they germinate, or they'll grow too tall in the heat. You only really need by averil 2

Yes, I'd love to see construction details too - I'll get my hubby to build one for me aswell! I haven't got a problem with a hot box (I don't think). But I WOULD like to try growing SWEET potatoes if it's possible in this country. Has anyone by Colin Knill

you build a habitat around it. If you grow plants that attract insects the insects will come. We got a bird box with camera from Hayle in Cornwall, but we had to make sure it had some cover. Result. The secret is in what is around it as well by i grown my own

advice please
Have just bought 10cm box plants which were potted on 2 weeks ago do I grow them on or could I plant out at this size, also what can I do to the ground where they will be going to give them the best start. Thanks bluejan if they've only just been by bluejan

Re-using polystyrene for veg seedlings
straight into the recycling. Don't know anything about growing veg, but your idea sounds alright to me. I use polystrene broken up in bits for drainage in my pots,  saves on the weight, so there's always a use for it If you're concerned, give the boxes a by In focus

Onions from seed problems
Hoping for a few ideas and help on this one, for the last three years i have been struggling with growing onions from seeds and end up having to buy sets which are never that great. again this year started seeds off on boxing day ( the kelsae by Rick greenfingers

know why they die? I should have thought box would be quite happy there. Agree about the artificial stuff. The green's not very realistic to start with and doesn't improve with time. My first thought was to grow a  shade tolerant clematis up an obelisk by Planter2

however have some spectacular window boxes ! My sons designed their current box - they said farewell to a very long window with the advent of lovely Spring flowers - it looks amazing ! We're also growing rhubarb, courgettes, strawberries and hope to beat by Belgravia Wife

I have several hedges in my garden which i need to remove, i have cut them down but the main roots are so deep i cannot get them out no matter haw far i dig. I intend to make the area where the hedges were in to planter boxes & use them as raied by Gail
