Bizzie/Busy Lizzies!
What alternatives are people going to be growing this year, especially after the collapse of impatiens due to the new virus? Are New Gunea Impatiens affected? Personally, I'm not keen on them. Having worked in a garden centre for many years by lilwead

growing laurel hedge
. They are growing adjacent to a large oak tree in partial shade. Yes, trim them back and keep trimming them back. Prune not hedgetrimmer, those big leaves brown off on the cut edges. If you let them go all will be well for a while then you'll have large shrubs by artychris
